'Early Morning Shine', 2013

"31st January 2013 - Early Morning Shine” (weirdly, I keep thinking I painted this in April of 2013) is a painting very close to my heart. Painted during a time of great anxiety and doubt, this painting was part of an uncompleted "painting-a-day" project started early 2013. There were a few works from this project that impacted me so hugely and acted as a significant pointer in how I should go forward. This painting suggested to me a very specific technique and a suggested focus on the ephemeral within the prosaic (commonplace and every day). I don't think I'll ever sell this work.
